Prepare the motorcycle for the spring season
Before your first ride after winter storage, you should go through your motorcycle and its maintenance. Use the owner's manual for your specific model and model year: correct pressures, fluids, tolerances, and service intervals vary.
Check before your first ride
- Look for leaks, damage, and loose parts.
- Check the condition and air pressure of the tires according to the manufacturer's specifications.
- Check the brakes, lights, turn signals, and horn. Have any faults investigated before riding.
- Check fluid levels and whether scheduled maintenance has been performed.
- Inspect the chain and drivetrain according to the owner's manual.
- Check the battery and charging, and use a charger suitable for the battery type.
